Garick Appoints Robert E. Smith, Jr. as General Manager of Smith Garden Products

CLEVELAND, Ohio – February 2, 2006

Garick President, Mr. Gary P. Trinetti, announces the hiring of Robert (Rob) E. Smith, Jr. to fill the position of General Manager at Smith Garden Products. Smith Garden Products is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Garick Corporation and is widely known in the industry for its sustainable and environmentally friendly, natural products for the lawn, garden, and landscape industries.

Mr. Smith was formerly with Best Buy Corporation in the capacity of Sales Manager where he was responsible for $65 million in revenue. Prior to that, he was a General Manager at The Home Depot with responsibilities that included $35 million in revenue as well as safety, operations, merchandising, and all logistical functions.

Mr. Smith will be instrumental in the continued sales growth of The Garick Corporation/Smith Garden Products both nationally and internationally. Prior to joining The Home Depot, Mr. Smith also served in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger for nine years in various theatres of the world.
