About Us
Tarheel Bark , originally owned by Baucom’s Nursery, was founded in 1985 to support Baucom’s growing floriculture operations. Tarheel was acquired by the Garick Corporation in 2007.
Today, Tarheel produces growing media, mulches, soils, and organic materials to hundreds of customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and other areas in the Southeast, United States.

Tarheel Bark carries a full line of all natural products including the soils, amendments and conditioners that are necessary for use in our soil-poor native earth. Our packaging includes clearly written helpful hints, suggestions, and instructions for use.
